Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Long-Wear Professional Mirror-Shine Eyeshadow 381 Millenium Review

Applying cream eyeshadow is a great way to a quick achieve a quick and easy complete eye look. More and more makeup brands are coming out with cream eyeshadows in a variety of textures and finishes. For today's review, I have the Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Long-Wear Professional Mirror-Shine Eyeshadow 381 Millenium to show you.

I purchased this eyeshadow a couple of months ago and have been using it a lot lately, so I thought it was time to review it. The Dior cream eyeshadows have a mousse-like texture that they describe as a gel-foam, but it is a texture very similar to the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre shadows. It feels very lightweight on the eyes. You can build up the color or sheer it out. I have worn it on its own and with eyeshadows over it, and this cream shadow works beautifully both ways.  Millenium is a unique color which is mainly why I chose this color -- an olive with gold sparkle and a hint of antique gold.

This eyeshadow comes with an applicator, but I prefer to apply it using my fingers. The applicator does work well if you want to line your eyes with this eyeshadow. It worked nicely to apply around the lower lash line. This product is long wearing and doesn't crease on me, but I always use some sort of eyeshadow primer, even under cream eyeshadows.

I like to store cream eyeshadows upside down to keep them from drying out quickly, but be careful with this one. Mine started to fall out of the container, but it is staying in place now that I have used it a few more times. It doesn't feel dried out, so my guess is that it is just a very delicate product.

Do you have a favorite cream eyeshadow that I should try? Have you tried any of the cream eyeshadows
from Dior?

  2. Wow this is so pretty! I love the color. Dior is a bit expensive for me though. I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow that I have in Bad to the Bronze. I would like another one of those. I also love my Tini Beauty cream eyeshadow from my Ipsy bag.

  3. Ooooh Lauren, that color is amazing on you!!!!! I have yet to try a Dior cream shadow. I do love the Chanel ones I have (only 2 though). Great tip on storing upside down!

I also find my Color Tattoos dry out fairly quickly. Which I hate, because they are a fabulous product!

    Fantastic review! xoxo

    1. Thank you Karen! I think you will really like them if you try one. Dior came out with one or two matte ones in the spring collection, but those didn't look very impressive to me. My Color Tattoos dry out quickly too, which makes them apply a little patchy. I have hear that you can put them in the microwave to refresh them, but I have not tried that. So nice to see you back in the States! xoxo
