Because I love the dramatic, I will begin with the smokey green. This is what I would wear if I were going to a party or if I were in a St. Patrick's Day parade. Let me admit that this look is inspired by a look I saw on celebrity makeup artist, Lottie Star's, instagram. She did a green smokey eye on a client for an Oscar party that was beautiful. Here's my spin on the look!
I used the same makeup on my face and lips for both looks, so I only changed the eyes. Here's what I used for the first look!
On my face:
Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector Combination to Oily Skin Light/Medium mixed with
tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation Fair
Rimmel match Perfection Concealer Fair
Hourglass Superficial Mirage Bronzer
MAC Mineralize Blush Warm Soul
On my eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance (not pictured)
Sonia Kashuk Eye on Glamour palette - bright green on lid and white under the brows
tarte True Blood palette Moss in crease, outer corner, and smudged on the lower lash line
Milani Shadow Eyez 01 Winter White on waterline
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Zero
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara 01 Black
On my lips:
Dior Lipliner Pencil 169 Grege
Nyx Butter Gloss Maple Blondie
Since the first look is dark and dramatic, I decided to do a look that uses more neutral eyeshadow colors with just a pop of green on the lid.
All of the products I used on my face and lips are exactly the same for this look. I changed up the eyes and just used one eyeshadow palette.
On my eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance (not pictured)
Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette Drinking A Glass Of Shine (Limited Edition) -White on the inner third of eyelid - Green on lid - Tan color in crease - Brown on outer corner - Light Flesh Tone under the brows
Elizabeth Arden Eye Pencil Black Brown
Benefit They're Real Mascara
I hope you all have a great St. Patrick's Day! Let me know if you have a favorite green eyeshadow and if you do a special makeup look for the holiday.
-xoxo Lauren
Oooh! I really like the smokey eye! The Wet and Wild "Comfort Zone" palette has a row of nice greens that would work, too. I may just have to bust that out tomorrow! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda! That's a great idea! I may try that tomorrow too!
DeleteGreat job! I liked the second one, looks very beautiful on you))
ReplyDeleteThank you! xoxo
DeleteVery pretty! I loved the green smokey eye the most. Great job on both! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It was fun to play with some colors! xoxo
DeleteThe green smokey eye is my favorite. How are you liking that tarte foundation?
ReplyDeleteBright and Shiny
I really like the tarte foundation. It's long lasting and will stay put if you have oily or combination skin. The finish is matte without being too flat, so it's just right for me. Thank you so much! xoxo
Deletelove both of these looks, esp the 2nd one!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You could pretty much add any color on the lid for that look. xoxo
DeleteBoth of these looks are great Lauren. I really like the smokey green eye!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pilar!
DeleteWow girl, you look gorgeous! Can you believe it: I finally tried the benefit Mascara today, although I have it since July 2013 in my drawer! And now I do not know how to ever use another mascara again! It is amazing! Only drawback: I really need waterproof mascara! Hugs, Sissi
ReplyDeleteThank you Sissi! I love the Benefit mascara! I always try to get a sample when I see it. xoxo Lauren
