BH Cosmetics Forever Nude Palette Review and Swatches

I am back as promised with another review from my BH Cosmetics goodies! The Forever Nude palette was included in my sweet gift. With all of the nude and naked palettes out there,I was really excited to give this palette a try. Can you believe that I don't own any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes? For some reason, I haven't wanted to take the plunge just yet!

The packaging strikes the perfect balance of being cute while still practical. The outside of the palette is plastic with a secure snap closure. It has a mirror the size of the lid on the inside. For size, it's just a bit smaller than an ipad mini, so it is a great size to take with you on the go.

Included in the Forever Nude palette are two blushes, two lip colors, six eyeshadows (four shimmer and two matte shades), and a highlighter.  This palette has everything you need for a complete look.

Blushes!
The two blushes are very pigmented even though they are softer colors. There's a  brighter baby pink and a rosy mauve pink.  For the look I did below, I'm wearing the the darker shade on the backs of my cheeks and the baby pink on the apples.

Lip colors!

Both of the lip colors included are very easy to wear. There's a pink shimmer and a nude pink creme. I am pleasantly surprised by how pigmented and easy to apply these lip colors are. I typically prefer a lipstick in stick form or one with some kind of applicator, but this applied easily with a lip brush. I didn't have any "dust" from the blushes or eyeshadows get in the lip colors, but I have been careful. I used the Real Techniques lip brush to apply the shimmery pink on the look I did below.

Highlighter!

I am a bit confused by the highlighter. First of all, it is not very pigmented, as you can clearly see. It's a matte shade that is very close to my skin tone. What has me really confused is the fact that I'm not quite sure if this is meant to be a highlighter for your face or your eyes. I guess it could be either. Some brands do have matte highlighters for your face. I used it under my brows for as a highlight shade, but it isn't very pigmented. I do like using it to blend out other shadows, though.

top 2 eyeshadows
I will say that I really like the eyeshadows. All of the colors are very pigmented and easy to blend. Fallout was not a problem at all. I used the shimmery lilac shade on my lid and the shimmery copper in the outer corner.

middle 2 eyeshadows
The middle two eyeshadows are a matte mid-tone mauve pink and a shimmery cream. In the look at the end of this post, I used the pink in my crease and the cream as an inner corner highlight. The matte pink was a little chalky when swatched, but I had no problems with applying or blending this shade.

bottom 2 eyeshadows
I used both of these eyeshadows as liners. I used the shimmery bronze along my lower lashes and the matte dark brown along my upper lashes. These colors worked very well used as eyeliners.

In this look, you may not be able to distinctly see each color. I kept adding and blending colors until I was satisfied with it. Overall, I am really pleased with this palette and will get a ton of use out of it. These colors are very wearable without being boring and are perfect for spring and summer.

Have you tried anything from BH Cosmetics? What are your thoughts on their products?

I've also read other reviews about constant blending etc with this palette, thanks for giving your honest opinion! The palettes I have so far from bh cosmetics are really pigmented and long lasting. 3. This palette is so cute! I am a little puzzled by that highlight color as well. It looks more like a base or transition color. I love the look you created as well. So natural and cute. :)

    1. I don't know what they were trying to do with that shade. I used it as a matte highlight under the brows and a little to blend out eyeshadows. Thank you, Sissi! xoxo Lauren

    1. Thank you so much! I don't know about that highlight. If it was more pigmented, then I would probably be a little more okay with it. It's just a bit of a dud, but I used it for blending out the eyeshadows.

  10. I love the look you created! Though it is called a Nude palette it does have a great color to mix with the nude shades! I agree it is not a boring palette at all. I love the blush and lip colors as well, this is one nude I would get since you will not look flat but still have color in the face! Thanks for sharing this!
