April Favorites

It's April Favorites time! I hope you all had a great month of April. I had a busy month, but it was great to have so much work. Because I was so busy, I didn't change up my makeup looks as frequently as I normally would.

I had so much fun coming up with different looks using the BH Cosmetics Forever Glam palette. (Full review with swatches and looks HERE.) It was really versatile. You can use this palette for neutral or dramatic looks. It really came in handy when my schedule was so busy.

When I wasn't using the Forever Glam palette, my look was more of very bare looking eyes with a bright lip. The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in La Diva was my bright lip of choice. I cannot get enough of this lipstick! I love it with the Chanel Sonic Pink lip liner. (Full review and swatches of that lip combo HERE.)

MAC Painterly Paint Pot is one of my favorite products from MAC, and I have put it to use this month. It's a good match for my skin tone and provides an even canvas for my eyes. I have been wearing it on its own with a light brown (MAC Era or Soft Brown) in the crease, no liner, and Too Faced Better Than False Lashes. That eye look is great with a bold lip, so that's the kind of look I've been doing when I want to wear La Diva on my lips.

Even though I have mixed feeling on the Too Faced Better Than False Lashes, it is a favorite for the month of April. I did a lot of singing this past month, so having this lash extending system was very convenient. If I top it off with another mascara, then it works perfectly for me. This became a favorite when I figured out how to make it work for me. (Full review HERE.)

I received the Valentia Even Glow Vitamin C Serum for review recently, and it has really helped my skin!  I have had a minor head cold this past week and have been blowing my nose nonstop, making the skin around my nose red and flaky. I was scared to put any product on that area, but after a couple of days I decided to try this all over my face. This serum did not sting my nose at all, and it made my skin stop flaking after using it once. That is amazing to me and makes this product an immediate favorite! I have not had this serum long enough to really tell you my thoughts on it, and I plan on doing a full review after I have lived with this a little longer.

That's my short list of favorite beauty products that I used over the past month! What have you been loving? I love to hear from all of you! It makes my day!

-xoxo Lauren

  1. Great picks girl! Painterly was my only primer that I used on my lids for years. When my current one started drying up I decided to give other primers a try. I must say that I am kind of missing my paint pot. Maybe I will pick one up in a couple months. I am loving Eden by UD but nothing quite compares to Painterly.

    1. Soft Ochre was the first one I ever got, and I really liked it. It dried out really fast, though. Painterly hasn't dried out on me at all. I haven't tried the Nars primer, but I've heard that it's so good! Thanks for reading! xoxo Lauren

  8. I've always wanted to try MAC Painterly, but I'm waiting until I run out of my UD Primer Potion in Eden! Surprisingly I also don't own too many MAC products, so I'd really like to branch out in their directions. Hope you've been doing well!

    1. Painterly is a great product to try from MAC. I also like the Studio Fix powder foundation if you're into powder foundations. It's a really good one. I've been great but a little too busy to blog! Hopefully, I can get back in the swing of it this week! Thanks! xoxo Lauren
