*I recieved this product for free from Tomoson.com.

Hello everyone! I hope ya'll are having a great summer with pleasant weather. The weather was fantastic here in Texas for a few days, but now it's Texas hot again. I'm just grateful that it took longer this year before it broke the 100 degree mark! Today, I have another skincare review of the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel.

I'll be really up front on this one and say that I was a little bit put off when I first got this. Upon agreeing to review this item, I looked up information about it but did not see a list of ingredients. Because it has "mineral" in the title, I just assumed that it would be free of the preservatives (parabens) that I would prefer to avoid. I was wrong. That being said, I decided to go ahead and give this a fair shot and review it like I would any other skin care product.

Ingredients

Adovia Mineral Eye gel comes in a generous 1 oz/30mL jar. Eye creams are usually half that size! Like most eye creams, this company claims that this product reduces puffiness, dark circles, and wrinkles. I do like that this is a gel because it is very refreshing and can feel cooling in this crazy heat. Crepiness under the eyes is a concern for me, and I do think that this gel has helped with improving the texture of that area. As far as dark circles are concerned, I don't typically have issues with that unless I'm not feeling well.

One thing that had me concerned when I first started using this was that it kept getting in my eyes and stinging. I realized that I was over-applying the product. As soon as I started using a little bit less, it didn't irritate my eyes anymore. Yay for having to use less! I would have to say that in the end I am pleasantly surprised by this product.

Pros:
- Gel does improve texture
-Feels refreshing
-Generous amount in jar (30mL/1fl.oz vs. typical 15mL/.5fl.oz.)

Cons:
-No ingredients list online
-Parabens
-Will sting if it gets in eyes

The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel can be purchased from Amazon and is currently on sale for $29.

Do you have a favorite eye cream? What do you use? I love hearing from you!

-xoxo Lauren
