Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks -- Dominant and Infamous

Because of the crazy Texas heat, I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup at all. Most of my makeup has been the same, but lipstick has been the one thing that I have been changing up regularly. My Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks have been some of my go-to lipsticks of the season.

Dominant, Infamous
Top to Bottom: Dominant, Infamous
As you can probably see from the swatches, the colors are extremely saturated and opaque. It doesn't take a lot of work to get color payoff with these. I really like how these lipsticks apply straight from the bullet, and I can get a decent shape without a lip liner. Most of the time, I have to use a liner with very saturated colors. I still prefer a liner with these, but it isn't necessary. Dominant is a nice berry pink that seems appropriate for any season or occasion; it's vibrant without being wild. Infamous is a fun mid-tone bubblegum pink that would be a great choice for those of you that love Chanel's La Diva but want something less bright and more reserved. (See La Diva HERE.) It's by no means a dupe, but I get the same sense of fun from wearing this lipstick. Can a lipstick give you certain feelings? I would love to hear that I'm not alone in being a weirdo!

The wear time is fantastic even though there's no claim to be a long wearing lipstick. The colors will wear off a little if you are eating and drinking, but the lipstick does not completely wear away. The formula is very moisturizing and feels comfortable the entire time that it stays on the lips. Both of the colors that I have are a cream finish, and I believe that is true of the entire line as well.

The packaging is incredibly luxurious with the dark navy and gold tube, and the magnetic closure feels extremely secure. This isn't the type of lipstick that is going to open in your busy handbag.

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks are my favorite formula of lipstick of the moment. I cannot think of one single cause for complaint. Aside from just a few items, Estee Lauder isn't a brand that creates buzz in the blogging community, but with the launch of this line, I think I may be taking another look.

Have you tried the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks? What colors do you have?

-xoxo Lauren
