Throughout most of my life, I have dealt with annoying acne. While it has never been severe, it has always been enough of an issue to me to make me feel self conscious. It can be even more discouraging when you finally get a breakout cleared just have pesky marks left behind. I've been lucky to discover the cause of my acne had more to do with a dairy allergy than what I was using to care for my skin. There are several things that I incorporate into my skin care routine to help fade any marks left by breakouts.

Exfoliate
Exfoliation is an important step in clearing your skin of post acne marks and in preventing it in the first place, and thankfully, there are many different options at different price points. You can choose a physical exfoliant -- like a scrub-- or a chemical exfoliant -- like an enzyme peel, Alpha hydroxy acid, or Beta hydroxy acid product. Here are some of my favorites!

L-R: Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel (Review here), Freeman Facial Polishing Mask Charcoal & Black Sugar, Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel Botanical Exfoliator

Vitamin C Serums
It won't take much effort browsing around my blog to know that I'm a huge fan of vitamin C serums. I have reviews of all kinds of vitamin C serums here, here, and here. A brighter and more even skin tone is the first thing I notice about my skin when I use products with vitamin C. Here are two vitamin C serums that I really like and have reviewed.

L-R: Valentia Even Glow Vitamin C Serum* (review here), La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum* (review here) *Both products sent for review.

I like the Valentia serum when my skin is feeling a little dry, and I like using the La Beaute Pure serum when it's hot and my skin is more on the oily side.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector
This product was sent to me for review purposes from Influenster in the #RadiantWithAVEENO VoxBox. I was so excited to receive this product because fading acne marks and evening out skin tone is my main concern with my skin. You can apply this morning and night before moisturizer on dark spots or uneven areas. I have been applying this to post acne marks and some freckles, and I can tell that the post acne marks are actually fading! In addition to fading dark marks, the Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector has a fresh, clean smell and doesn't feel heavy on my combination/oily skin.

Have you tried any of the Aveeno Positively Radiant products? What do you use to fade post acne marks? I love hearing from you!

-xoxo Lauren
