What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

Over the 4th of July holiday weekend, the husband, dog, and I went to visit some family in Mississippi and Alabama. It was such a quick trip, but we had a great time! As I unpack my makeup, I thought I would show you the beauty items I took along for the long weekend and tell you what I did and did not use. I think I did a pretty good job at not packing too many products, but I'll be honest and say that I did not use every single product that I packed.

Let's start with some skincare!
Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes: I get a large box of these at Costco, and they usually have a couple of smaller travel packs in them. These definitely got used!

Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion: I've been using this eye makeup remover for a couple of weeks. I don't like using this as much as coconut oil, but I've been trying to use it since I have it. I used it!

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: I save my sample cleansers for when I travel. This did a great job cleansing and exfoliating, but it's not meant to be used every day. I didn't have an adverse reaction to using it several times in a row, and I really like it.

Adovia Mineral Eye Gel: I got sent this product for review purposes, so I have been testing this out. Right now, I have mixed feelings about this, but look for a review in the coming weeks. I used it!

Olay Complete Daily Defense All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 30 Sensitive Skin: I have been using this every day. It's great for the summer because it is moisturizing without making my skin oily. Love this stuff!

OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum: This product was sent to me for review purposes, and I have still been using it. I have a review of this here. This is really moisturizing, and I brought this one with me because I can use it day and night.

On to the makeup!

Hourglass Oxygen Powder No 1: I use this as a powder foundation. Powder foundations are just so quick and easy for me to use, and I took it with that in mind. I ended up using it lightly as a setting powder because I didn't pack one, and I really liked the outcome.

Studio Gear CC Cream - Linen: This product was sent to me for review. I have a review of this cc cream here. This is a great summer color for me, and I'm loving the light coverage that it gives. The more I wear it the more I really like it.

Bare Minerals Well-Rested: I packed this to wear if I used a powder foundation, but I forgot to pack another undereye concealer. This worked out just fine. I know some people don't like well-rested, but it works for me.

Bare Minerals Bisque Concealer: I used this to spot conceal on my face. My skin is pretty good right now, so I didn't have to use a lot of it. This does a great job concealing. I used it!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish - Blonde: This looks great no matter what kind of look I'm wearing. It's a great neutral pink color with a bit of shimmer, so I don't need a highlighter when I wear this. This was the only blush I used.

MAC Mineralize Blush - Warm Soul: This is a great neutral blush that looks great with everything, but I ended up not wearing this over the weekend.

Lorac Unzipped palette: As far as eyeshadows go, this was the only thing I packed. It doesn't matter what color combination you use with this palette, it always looks great. This is one of my favorite products in my collection.

Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer: This primer came with the Unzipped palette, and I only use it when I travel. I really like it, though. It gets the job done.

Bare Minerals Faux Tan: I forgot that I have this bronzer because it's in a smaller container than my other bronzers, but that makes it great for packing. Faux Tan is one of the most natural looking bronzers that I have ever used. A little goes a long way, and I have a feeling that this will end up in my next favorites post.

Tarte Lights, Camer, Lashes! mascara: I decided to take this one with me because it's one of my favorite mascaras ever. I have no issues at all with this mascara, and that's what I need when I am away from home.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal - Nude: Most of us don't get as much sleep as we should when we're traveling, so a nude eyeliner comes in handy to fake a well rested look.

Buxom Insider Eyeliner - Onyx: I usually take this eyeliner with me when I travel just because it's a twist up liner that I don't have to sharpen. It is a very good eyeliner, and I would like to get one in another color eventually. I did not use this. I just was not in the mood for black eyeliner.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil - Whiskey: I got a set of a bunch of minis, and I have been trying to use them up before they get too old. I really like the Urban Decay liners, and Whiskey is a great color. This was the color I used.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm - Provocateur: I usually pack this when I travel. Crayons are really quick and easy to use, and I don't need a lip liner. It's just so convenient and looks great. This was the only lipstick I wore.

Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick Minis: I really like these lipsticks, but I did not use them. They are so small that packing a few of them took up very little space in my bag. I don't feel bad about not using them. The colors I packed are A Go-Go, Backstage Bambi, Bachelorette, and Thin Lizzy.

So, that is all of the makeup and skincare that I packed. I think I did a pretty good job at not packing too much.
What products do you always pack when you travel?
