Whole Foods Beauty Sample Bag

When my lovely friend Addie from the equally lovely blog Old World New told me that Whole Foods was releasing a beauty sample bag, I knew I had to go check it out. Whole Foods has really high standards when it comes what products they will sell. Not only does that apply to ingredients but also for responsible business practices. Did you know that Whole Foods won't sell products that have been tested on animals? The bag was $18 but $60 in value.

Before we get to the contents, let's take a moment to discuss this cute makeup bag! Aside from being absolutely adorable, this organic cotton bag from Riji Green was made by survivors of human trafficking. Riji Green is dedicated to ending human trafficking and provides fair wage jobs to survivors. That alone made me want to buy a bag.

Let's take a look inside at the six samples that came in this bag!

Unicorn / Moonbeam

Pacifica Eye Shadow Duo - This duo is in the color Unicorn/Moonbeam. Aside from the cutest names, I really like these colors. The purple is great for a wash of color, and can be worn sheer. The lighter shade, Moonbeam, has a bit of a gold undertone to it, so it's a little more unique than your typical highlight shade.

Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask - I've used this mask once. The product has an earthy smell to it and is very refreshing. It gave me a deep clean feeling without drying out my skin.

Giovanni 2Chic Ultra-Repair Shampoo - I have used several of Giovanni's hair products before, and I always like them. Normally, I don't get really excited about hair samples, but I'm happy to give this one a try because I really like this brand.

Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream - I haven't tried this out, but I will try this as soon as I finish what I'm currently using. This cream has an impressive list of ingredients, and it's almost a full size sample!

Gabriel Mascara - All of the mascaras that I'm currently using have a rather long list of questionable ingredients, so I look forward to using one that's more natural.

Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub - I'm so happy to finally sample everyone's favorite scrub. It's too soon to tell, but I think this may be my new favorite scrub too.

They were giving out samples from Mineral Fusion products at the event. Mineral Fusion makes one of my favorite shampoos, but I have never tried any of their makeup. I got samples of the Sparkle Bronzer, the Graphite Lengthening Mascara, and the Lasting Color Shampoo and Conditioner. I can't wait to dig into these samples too.

I'm really happy with all of the products I received in this bag. There was a nice mix of brands that I know and have used before and ones that are completely new to me. I hope Whole Foods has another beauty event in the future. I know I will be there!

Have you used any of these products? What do you think of them?

-xoxo Lauren
