Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint ~ Lavish Lilac

Since the weather has gone from hot to super hot, my makeup has been as minimal as possible. One of my go-to products for the slap it on and go approach is eyeshadow crayons. I love the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, but I decided to pick up one of the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tints in Lavish Lilac when I went to Clinique a couple of weeks ago. I enjoy wearing stick eyeshadows because they're so easy to use and to wear. You just apply, blend if you need to, and your ready to go.

The Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tints are eyeshadow crayons that twist up as you use up the product. Lavish Lilac is becoming one of my favorite shadows to use on the go for a few reasons. I have used this shadow with and without eyeshadow primer, and it hasn't creased on me at all. Normally, I don't go without eyeshadow primer, but I happened to skip it one day because I was in a hurry. I was shocked when it was the end of the day and my eyeshadow looked the same as it did in the morning. The size of the product is perfect for applying on my eyelids in a hurry. It's larger than the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, and I can get the perfect application without even needing to blend out the edges with my fingers.

The color itself is a purple taupe color. Even though it's a color other than brown, it looks like a neutral on the eye because it's a muted purple. Purple is an easy color to wear if you're tired of browns.

Oveall, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like wearing Lavish Lilac. It's so easy to wear! Have you tried any of the Chubby Stick Shadow Tints? Which colors do you have?

Jamberry Nail Wraps

A little while ago, a friend of mine, Amy, sent me some samples of the Jamberry Nail Wraps. I had heard of these before and seen them on Instagram, but I had never tried them.

I'm sure the first question you have is similar to the one I had. What makes these different than the ones you can pick up at the drugstore? Basically, the Jamberry Nail Wraps are nail stickers with very strong adheasive. The nail strips that you get at the drugstore are nail polish strips. I had no idea they were any different until I looked into it myself! I received Rosy Quatrefoil and White Stripe. Below are application and removal instructions and a video (both taken from the Jamberry site) that takes you through the process.

I applied my samples according to the instructions. The most difficult part of the process for me was trimming the ends of the wraps. I grew out my nails and had them rounded off at the ends before I tried these nail wraps. I think having a more sqaured off nail shape like the lady in the video would have worked better for me and is something I'll try the next time I use these. I just kept trimming until the wraps fit.

The wraps were very long-lasting. I kept these on for a week. They did start to peel up at the tips, but I added heat and pressed them back down to fix it. They stayed really well at the base of the nail and along the sides. I didn't notice any puckering at all throughout the entire week.

I was really impressed with my samples of the Jamberry Nail Wraps and would love to try them again -- maybe in a pedicure next time! I highly recommend these to anyone that loves the look of nail art but can't quite create the designs yourself. If you're interested in trying these nail wraps check out Amy's online store! There are lots of cute designs and many change seasonally. Mermaid Tales is my favorite design of the moment, but there's something for everyone. Thank you so much Amy for letting me sample these!

Have you tried the Jamberry Nail Wraps? What was your experience? Do you have a favorite design? Let me know!

Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer | Bare Pop

Today, I am continuing my little haul from Clinique with the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Bare Pop. I have wanted to try these since they were released. I've seen them on everyone, so I'm so excited that I was able to get my hands on a color that was on my list. Some were sold out at the counter!

From Clinique:
Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours.

My thoughts:
I really like how this lipstick feels on my lips. It's almost like a gel type formula. It feels smooth without feeling heavy. The color itself is a bronzy nude with a tiny bit of shimmer -- the perfect color to just slap on and go. Bare Pop is great for topping off a bronzy makeup look. The shimmer in Bare Pop gives it more of a sheen than a glittery look. Clinique describes the finish as a modern-velvet and also as a demi-matte. I think that's accurate because it doesn't have a super glossy finish or a matte finish. In terms on longevity, Bare Pop lasts pretty well, but it's not a longwearing lipstick. It won't last through a meal. Honestly, I wouldn't call this a moisturizing lipstick, but it's not drying. It has a very comfortable wear, but it's not going to fix a dry lip situation.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks? Which colors should I try next? Have you seen the August edition of Glamour magazine? Amy Schumer is wearing Fab Pop on the cover! Maybe I'll get Fab Pop next.

VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask

When it comes taking care of my skin, I feel like the undereye area is the most difficult. I use eye cream every evening, but sometimes I just need something extra. When I heard about the VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Masks, I knew it was something I wanted to try.

These eye masks are like undereye sheet masks. They're little pads that adhere to your undereye area and can be left on all night long. You can use these 2-3 times a week, just like any other mask. They claim to brighten and hydrate the undereye area.

Eye Masks

Peel off the back

Put them on your face!

I was a bit concerned that these wouldn't stay on for very long, but they actually stayed on for a long time. As you can see, these are huge and will cover quite a large area. I had to reposition one side. The mask stayed on my face even after I peeled it off and put it back on again.

When I use these, I don't go to sleep with them on my face. I don't think I would be able to get used to it, so if I'm home for the evening, I'll put these on a couple of hours before I go to bed. Even when I use these for only 2 hours, I can tell a difference after I take them off. My undereye area looks firmer and more moisturized.

I wish they didn't have parabens.
I think these eye masks are really great if you're going to an event. They would be great to use the night before an event or even during the day before a nighttime event. These give my undereye area a tighter and more well-rested appearance. Who doesn't want that? Overall, I'm really pleased with this eye mask. The only complaint I have is that it contains parabens -- not an ingredient I like to see in my skincare.

Do you use an eye mask? Which one? I love your recommendations!

REVIEW | Spongellé Beyond Cleansing - Luxury Spa Products At Home

Recently, I received the most lovely smelling package from Spongellé (pronounced sponge-gel-lay) that included an infused body buffer and infused pedi buffer. I've seen these sponge and cleanser in one type of products before, but I never ventured to try them until now.

I received a body buffer in Bulgarian Rose and a pedi buffer in Beach Grass. These buffers are infused with body wash. There's no need to grab a loofah and body wash; this has you covered for both.

The pedi buffer has a textured side to really scrub away any roughness on your feet. I love the Beach Grass scent. It's very luxurious and spa-like--perfect for pampering your feet!

The Boxed Flower body buffer in Bulgarian Rose has a very soft and creamy rose scent. The body wash has a nice lather and is very moisturizing. It's more moisturizing than the typical show gel and loofah combo that I normally use. According to the box, you can get at least 14 washes out of this one buffer. I was a bit skeptical about that at first, but mine is still going strong after over a week's worth of use.

If you're interested in more products from Spongellé, you can check out their website or find them on Instagram. These products can also be found at Anthropologie, Kitson, and many high-end spas.

Have you ever tried an infused body buffer or pedi buffer? Let me know your thoughts!
